Zack Thomas (Frank Sinatra) and Joe Jarrett (Dean Martin) are two rivals banks robber who spend all their time fighting to win supremacy over Galveston in 1970. Although more like they would cut necks than working together, the two are forced to join forces against common enemies Harvey Burden (Victor Buono) a charlatan banker and Matson (Charles Bronson), an outcast with blood cold that kills for money. The four continue to fight each other for the love of two beautiful and powerful ladies, Elya Carlson (Anita Ekberg) and Maxine Richter (Ursula Andress). They are business ladies and perfectly suit Zack and Joe.
